Tax Free Retirement
  By: Scott Rulon
I read the Patrick Kelly book "Tax Free Retirement". It opened my eyes to other options for our client's retirement dollars. The retirement traps gave me a new awakening on how important it is to talk to our clients on a regular basis. My favorite chapter was the one on hoping tomorrow will never come. As much as we pretend that we have a lot of years left, it sneaks up on us like a roaring lion. I agree with Mr. Kelly that there might be legitimate reasons for giving up some tax deduction up front in order to have a larger tax free pie in the end. It would be foolish to believe that taxes are going down. The book also gave greater understanding on interest neutral loans. Looks like an outstanding way to have your cake and eat it to.

Finished reading Tax Free Retirement and must admit that it makes sense, not necessarily for everyone but in lot of situations life insurance can be a good alternative for a retirement funds source. When structured correctly, a good financial plan should cover income needs as well as risk coverage - retirement funds should also consider those objectives as well. If nothing else, you should read this book to acquaint yourself with the issue of life insurance as more than just a death benefit.

This book tells us why so many Americans are in trouble in the retirement years due to poor planning and the goverment. The public should be taught at a young age hoe to better plan with the facts and some good advice.

He takes a complicated idea and makes it easy to understand. The book is an enjoyable read and very informative. I only wish I would have read the book 40 years ago so I would have been saving all this time. I fully understand the benefits of Universal Life Insurance and that retirement monies should not be in a tax qualified fund. I would highly recommend this book staff, clients and DreamCatchers.
